Does anyone know which was the language we added in July? (94 in June, 95 in July)
This is really an impressive number of diversity. Even if some languages probably only have 2 or 3 recordings, if that.

Some of them just have the UN declaration of human rights - that's available on the UN web page in many languages. It's quite hard to get US PD sources for many of the world's languages especially those without printed books

The most recently added language was Kurdish! It's a recording in the open Multilingual collection, so it hasn't been catalogued yet.J_N wrote:Does anyone know which was the language we added in July? (94 in June, 95 in July)

I have a sudden random curious question about the monthly stats, too--
does the "Number of readers 8252 ...who have completed something" include PLers even if they haven't recorded? does that number technically come from counting anyone who has a reader page with something listed on it, whether as reader or PLer or coordinator or anything? or is it actually only readers with their voice recorded in a project?

I'm pretty sure it's only people who have a section assigned to them and the project cataloged. It doesn't include those who haven't recorded anything.plaidsicle wrote:I have a sudden random curious question about the monthly stats, too--

Earlier, the statistics gave an additional number. For example, from the first post of this thread:
Number of readers: 2978 ... who have completed something: 2752
So maybe the first number counts all the people in the database, be it reader, BC or DPL, and the second, the number of people with at least one completed section in the catalogue?
I don't know why it stopped giving that number, though. Maybe a change after the system upgrade.
