Yes, it's OK if Milla PLs the final version.karlkuzmich wrote:Sec. 26 (male part) is posted (as promised, before the New Year!):

I listened this file: http://uploads.librivox.org/carolin/collection_51_baratynsky_128kb.mp3
In the notes column it says sections 6-7, 29:14 min. In reality it lasts 25:50 min.
When I try to listen the next file - sections 8-9, I get this message "The requested URL /carolin/collection_52_baratynsky_128kb.mp3 was not found on this server."
The same with this: "URL /carolin/collection_53_baratynsky_128kb.mp3 was not found on this server"
I've re-uploaded sec.52,53 and fixed the length mess. Should be ready fpr PL!
In future, let's agree to call sections by their numbers in the left column of the MW (they should match the xx in "collection_xx_baratynsky" of the URL) -- less writing and confusion.
Section 51 if fine, OK.

Section 42 is good. PL ok.
Section 43 - 9:33 repetition ("gde oni yavilis'/yavlyalis'")
Fixed as directed by PL, ready for spot-PL:

I couldn't do much about the voice change in 53 without re-recording.
Milla, if you think it's ugly enough, I'll do that, but I would leave it -- what do you think?

Sect. 43 is okay.
Sect.54 is okay.
I think, sect. 53 where a little voice change occurs, is fine, since the rhythm is the same.
But at 4:02 is not. more pause is needed.

Thank you, Milla, you are right. I tried more magic. Please hear sec.53 @ 4:02 again:

it's a little better, but still doesn't have a smooth continuity. It's strange, i never heard this before, maybe it has something to do with the subtleties of a recording...
But it's really minor. i am being too much of a perfectionist...
So, it's OK.
ML
Yeah, I tried to fudge sec.53 from pieces, was too lazy to re-record. Glad you accepted it

MaryAnn, Mila, Mark, here is section 41 - https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/collection_41_baratynsky_128kb.mp3 (duration 26.31).
This is my first collective project, so I do not know if I could enter BC window or not (I've tried without success, but maybe I just do not remember my password). Therefore the link is only here. Please, let me know how to do it properly.
And for all Russians - merry Christmas!

Ok, I will consider all of that and reread that later.Milla wrote:Hello Rita,
Welcome to LibriVox. My name is Milla. I am a proof listener (PL). My task is listening very closely so that I can find even small imperfections that affect the overall quality.
Several things I would like to point out:
1. The speed. You read quite fast, and sometimes, it's hard to understand the words, especially endings, thus affects the impression.
2. The clarity. Every sound should be very clear. Unfortunately, I don't hear this (невнятное чтение).
Clicks at 0:21, 0:27, 5:09, 7:00, 8:35, 8:40, 9:19, 9:37, 11:05
Stumbles: 5:45, 6:49, 8:24, 10:29, 10:56
Words hard to understand: 2:32, 4:28, 8:00
Please consider using pauses more, they are absolutely necessary, and it would be better if you read more uniformly. Some parts you start louder and end very softly (Элегия).
Best of luck,
Milla
See you,
Rita
