I did cut out the part you wanted me to -- sorry about that! I do want to ask, do I have to click on amplify on audacity to bump up the db? I did do it and it does sound louder, but I want to make sure I did it right before turning it in.

I think that's the correct way. There is another method I am aware of that many folks use to fix the volume. For this you might need to download Audacity software..
In Audacity, use the Effects --> Loudness Normalization (put the value to -19 LUFS). This brings the recording almost at 89db

You could also verify the volume level through the checker program.
