Thank you, Robin! It's good to have you back this year!
I enjoyed hearing a slightly different translation of this lovely old German hymn!
This is PL OK!

Delighted to see you back for another year, Tomas!
Thanks for reminding us that the Christmas season is not just one day, and that it includes New Year's!
"Auld Lang Syne" is a welcome addition! And it is PL OK!

Carol of the Birds is PL OK. (And also very lovely, and also quite different from the song I know by that title--I'm glad to know this one now!)

One last-minute addition from me. In this case I'm the only one singing--Zach doesn't know this song and is otherwise occupied today.

Title--If Ye Would Hear The Angels Sing
Author--Dora Greenwell (1821-1882)
Language--English
Source--https://archive.org/stream/poemsbydoragreen00gree/poemsbydoragreen00gree_djvu.txt. (page 101)
Length--3:27
I am singing this to the tune, to the best of my recollection, to the melody an octogenarian friend, now deceased, taught me. According to Hymnary these words have only had one tune which, if I read them right, dates from 1539. Chords are my best guess.
Back from a low-internet no-Librivox year in Georgia. Glad to be with you again.

Thanks for the PL on my carol, Joanna!

If Ye Would Hear the Angels Sing is PL OK! Lovely lyrics to this carol, and a great addition to this year's collection.

Annise, as I've been preparing and formatting the summary, with all the carol info, it has come to my attention that there are some translators missing from the catalog, which I forgot to ask you to add when the carols came along. Could you please add -

Harriet R. Krauth (1845-1925)
John C. Mattes (1876-1948)
Gerard Moultrie (1829-1885)

I am doing the summary and formatting it, and will have it ready later tonight. I have to go out for a few hours now, but will return about 9pm my time - (about 4-5 hours from now). At that time, I will finish cleaning up loose ends and turn this over to you for cataloging.

To anybody who is still working on a carol, be aware that this collection will close promptly at 9pm New York time!
