I'm not sure if I'm PLing for "A Scandal in Bohemia" or just editing at the end, but I was free, so I figured I'd give a listen to what was posted :) I also can't get into the MW window to change around PL statuses? Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Thus far, I've only ever used the MW in the solo project I'm working on, so I don't have much experience!
Cheers
Unfortunately, there aren't ways to have a dozen BCs with access to the MW. So I'm your only way into that, and I have posted the PL status.

Thanks, Todd

Thanks Sarah. Great, I'll download checkers to help me with my future recordings.

Have a wonderful day! :wink:

* Title and author: The Chronicles of Clovis by Saki
* PD text link: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/3688
* Link to author on Wikipedia, and death date, if known: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saki (18 December 1870 – 13 November 1916)
* Link to title on Wikipedia: N/A
* Number of roles (including narrator) this project will have: N/A
* Original publication date: 1911
* The list of characters in your DR so when we have a MW I can set up your sections properly! N/A

Here are four of the stories I mentioned (russiandoll was the one who edited the 5th, I have PMed her to ask her to upload it to this collection - If she doesn't get back to me I'll quickly edit it myself, I still have the original file.)

The readers are me, russiandoll and Peter Why. Peter reads Clovis and any male characters, russiandoll and I alternate between reading the narration and all of the female characters. We don't give specific voice credits at the start, since we didn't know what we were going to encounter when we read the stories, so you can just credit all three of us without any details.

Also, obviously, there isn't 'of Dramatic Reading Scene and Story Collection, Volume 001' in the intro - hopefully this isn't a problem.

The stories are:
The Stampeding Of Lady Bastable:

(7:52)

The Jesting Of Arlington Stringham:

(8:47)

The Quest:

(11:30)

The Peace Offering:
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/drsceneandstoryvol001__peaceoffering_saki_128kb.mp3
(11:35)

The story russiandoll will provide is Adrian.
So little space, so much to say.

Great!

(EDITED) And for any worried new BC's, these already completed readings only count as 1 against the dozen new stories and scenes in this collection.

Thanks, Todd

If you are happy for gender neutral casting, I'd like to read for Guy Burkhardt in the "Tunnel under the World" story.

I'd like to suggest one more DR. This is a classic Australian piece but it is very long to do as a proper DR. I have in mind to read it as a solo one day, but in the meantime here is Chapter 27, "The Valley of the Shadow of Death".

* For the Term of His Natural Life by Marcus Clarke
* PD text link: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/3424/3424-h/3424-h.htm
* Link to author on Wikipedia, and death date, if known: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Clarke (died 1881)
* Link to title on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_the_Term_of_His_Natural_Life
* Number of roles (including narrator) this project will have: 6
* Original publication date: 1874
* The list of characters in your DR:

Narrator (me)
Jemmy Vetch “The Crow” (the leader of the escaped convicts)
Gabbett (the giant, a ruthless killer, experienced at attempting escape)
Alick Sanders “The Moocher” (a previous accomplice of Gabbett)
Greenhill (another escaped convict)
Tom Bodenham (the first convict to be killed by the others. A small part.)

I would prefer a male voice for Gabbett, but the rest of the cast can be gender neutral.

Colour-coded script is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FF35cnRGPP0aZdts-aBkvRDjgVM97Iq9P2wOnbLNeWw/edit?usp=sharing

Piotrek, would you be prepared to edit this one for me as well? I'll do the PLing.
