Wow, that's really interesting, and kinda peculiar. Garbage trucks playing Beethoven everywhere! Learn somethin new every day. Is that just a local thing, or is that all over Taiwan?
I remember how, in college, I got that part-time job as a circus clown, and how the children would laugh and laugh at me. I vowed, then and there, that I would get revenge.

It is played all over Taiwan.

Ya! It is peculiar. Why would they choose Beethoven for garbage truck? A romantic "for Elise" music became smelly...........

I was fond of Beethoven's music.................

Following the food theme, the first sound of the morning... http://www.pdsounds.org/sounds/coffee_grinder
Too bad there's no video. The cats never get used to the coffee grinder. They run for cover every single morning.

And here are yesterday's beans going in the disposal: http://www.pdsounds.org/sounds/garbage_disposal

Correction!!!!

The garbage truck was playing " The Maiden's Prayer", not Beethoven.

Some of the Taiwanese cities' garbage truck played Beethoven though. Can't remember where and when.

the spices mixed in the bowl became a spice rub for some pork chops that went on the grill. but getting my mic out there would have been difficult.

it was all pretty yummy.

This happens when you try to record with open windows on a sunny afternoon in May - I had to wait some time before I could continue recording my text...

That reminded me of a completely different kind of disturbance from outside sounds on Sunday afternoon that got into my recordings last year, while living in Washington DC:
