m8b1 wrote:I am looking for editing help for "Children's Classics in Dramatic Form". These are short little children's plays. The plays we need help with are plays 12-15.
The Wild Swans
The Two Countrymen
The Man and the Alligator
The Song in the Heart

If you are interested in editing one or more of the plays, please post in the project thread here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=47535

If possible, I would appreciate a turnaround of no more than a couple of weeks or so!
Maria,

I am interested in editing plays 12-15 if you will accept the help.

I can't seem to find a recording for "The Executioner" in scene 4 of play 12 - The Wild Swans.

Hi David,

It looks like it was missed in the initial setup. So, since the fastest way to get something done is do it yourself, here you go: https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/childrensclassics_executioner_12.mp3

(It probably took less than minute total to do, from turning on the mic to uploading it. :D )

Hi David,

Great editing job.

Two missed lines highlighted in blue.

Scene 1 @ ~1:57

[A MERCHANT passes.]
SECOND COUNTRYMAN (to Merchant). I pray thee stop, citizen.
(The Merchant stops.)
Canst thou tell us what dreadful thing hath befallen this city?
MERCHANT. What do you mean?
[TWO CITY WAGS pass; they stop to listen.]

Scene 2 @ ~8:55

SECOND WAG. Some mistake, I fear, my good man.
[The Wags start off.]
SECOND COUNTRYMAN (weeping). Wait! I pray thee, wait!
(The Wags stop.)
Canst thou not tell us who we are?
FIRST WAG. Do you not know yourselves?
SECOND COUNTRYMAN. Alas! we are not ourselves.

Hugh

Hugh,

Thanks for the PL. Those two lines were not in the uploaded audio file.

Thank you, David and Hugh!

The Second Countryman was read by Tricia. I'll PM her about it. :-)

And about the Guardsmen files, yes, the one Tricia pulled out should be the other one (mine).

Hi Maria,

The file that David uploaded has Francis Brown reading the Second Countryman part.

I checked my original files, and I have the part read by Tricia, and it contains both missing lines. Here is the file name: childrensclassics_2ndcountryman_13.mp3

I came in here to acknowledge my need to record the missing lines, but apparently I don't. All is well with my files, correct?
