I'm entering the readers and urls into the validator now, to save time once we get those last few files.

If the last files are uploaded to the validator between, um, 10am and 10pm PST, feel free to call me and let me know :)

Hmm... how shall we best handle the zillion readers for the last 2 hours of 15? Shall I ... hmm ... what's the best way for me to do this? Enter right into the validator?

Or would it kidnap the catalog page to have 40 names on Section 15? Should it say Ensemble and link to a separate page or lower on the same page and list all the readers there? Whatcha think, Kara?

Yeah... give me a list of names for those files and I'll do the Ensemble thing. Hmm... at some point they'll all need to be entered into the Database but that can wait till the 17th :)

Here's a mixed up list -- sometimes I've got full name, sometimes forum name... These are roughly in order of appearance, but we could do alphabetical instead. The two parts could be consolidated, too, because there's a lot of overlap.

Only one reader I know of is not an LV forum member -- Hadjuk, who was a friend of The Good Reverend Doctor and did a bunch of background characters. I *think* his first name is Michael, but I really ... don't have any hard proof of that, so better skip the first name.

Credits for Ulysses 15f and 15g:

The ten segments were edited as follows:
1st, 5th, and 6th segments with the Woods, The Dance, and The Ghost, were edited by Anita Roy Dobbs;
2nd and 4th segments with The Brothel and The Race were edited and sound designed by Stephan Moebius;
3rd and 10th segments with The Affair and The End were edited by Gesine;
7th segment, with The Chase, was edited by The Good Reverend Doctor;
8th and 9th segments, with The Kings and The Fight, were edited and sound designed by annelika.

[in response to hugh's next note, below: I needed to record the credits onto the end of 15g, so I did want to gather this information; certainly it can go on the catalog page whenever it doesn't hold up getting U completed in times for Bloomsday.]

Good. Lord. :)

Forget about it for now -- I'll do a "watch this space" or something on the cat page and we can get it all spiffy after the thing is done.

ok -- I'm actually editing my post above to list everyone's catalog info -- in the process right now.

I am SO happy to leave this till later though.

I do feel compelled, however, to record the credits for the end of each ensemble piece. So, the list is pretty necessary for me for now.

We'll edit this, noise clean it, and get it into the validator by tomorrow afternoon.

Stephan just turned in another amazing ensemble edit with fantastic ambient sound and... just gorgeous! Gorgeous! I'll put an mp3 here when Audacity stops crashing on me. grr

You know, excited as I am about this, I'm getting a little nostalgic. It just won't be LibriVox without unedited bits of ulysses-15 floating around... This is the only LibReality I've ever known! :(

Well, let's see. We could start another Ulysses collab straight away. We could always have one going... like one of these huge soups that you always have on the backburner, and keep adding things to and making it better and better and always different. If you know what I mean. ;)

I'm editing 15e (your reading with Max) right now, very cute!

Also proof-listening 15f, that should be in the Validator soon.

After that, only 15g missing and Anita will do that when she gets up. :)

actually I have always thought that we should do a new ulysses once a year - or maybe once every two years.

That's a fairly brilliant idea, hugh. We've established the every-two-years pace, I think. :D
