I've just posted this in the 'Last push' thread:
Ulysses - the last section. We're racing towards Bloomsday; this section should be finished by 13 June so there's enough time to catalogue until Bloomsday (15 June).

There are two threads in the Listeners & Editors Wanted forum - one for editors (we have small chunks of 10 minutes each to edit) and one for Listeners. Please help us to get this done on time!

Listeners wanted thread: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3068
Editors wanted thread: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9041
At the moment, there's one 10-minute section to edit, and one 42-minute section (15d) to proof-listen.
I'd do one, but I spent most of the day yesterday on Ulysses and really need to go out sailing this afternoon... ;)
[Arriving later today: 2 more 10-minute dramatic sections and 1 30-minute single-reader section to edit; tomorrow, a 40-minute single-track section to edit -- a.r.d.)

Oh, thanks to Stephan's outstanding noise-cleaning/volume adjusting job, the first two hours of section 15 (a and b) are now OK to catalogue (they're in the completed folder - see links in magic box). Hugh, they should have the new tags.

Well, it's only TWO days if you want a good shot at the thing being actually ready for the public on Saturday...

(By the way, Hugh, if you post on Boingboing, etc., about our Ulysses on Bloomsday, will you mention Dedalus's fantastic reading of Portrait? http://librivox.org/a-portrait-of-the-artist-as-a-young-man-by-james-joyce/)

Oh yes, must do that... Dedalus also tried so hard to get the Portrait ready for Bloomsday. :)

15a to d are essentially ready (c and d are waiting for NC), and e-g are very much in progress and awaiting completion.

Shove 'em into the validator when they're ready, eh? :)

(you'll see some duplicates -- had to do a bit of cleaning/boosting)

Yup, all other files are already in the Validator.

Kara, I've just uploaded and tagged 15c, too.

15d (noise-cleaned) is also in the Validator (so that's 15a-d now).

Anita will do 15 e, f, g.

Kara, if for some reason things get late and you cannot complete cataloguing by your tonight, drop me a PM and I'll finish it off tomorrow when you're still asleep! :)

LOL!

Hey, funky bananaman,

edit: nevermind the rest of this -- that part is finished and in the validator, without benefit of great Alan music tracks; it was all past-last-minute for such a minuet. So... ignore what follows...
got an inkling to lay a music track in on The Dance? It's all waltzy, actually, not jazzy, so maybe not an Alan kinda thing. But it has been in my mind to ask you that question of for many a day ... and I was gonna spare you the question, but then the GO-GO bananaman appeared, and I just can't shut my mouth.

The Dance ...

(it's 9 minutes long)

my criminally slow upload is in progress now...should be there by tomorrow. no really, about 15 minutes from the time of this post

You are free to keep cheering and dodge this last-minute tap (because I'd have to have the finished file back tomorrow, top of the morning). But like I said, I just can't shut my mouth. :)
