Neat! I've heard this is an interesting one.

I'm not sure who to talk to on this one, but it looks like the file is cut off at the end. It seems to end abruptly and doesn't contain PG's usual endmatter.

I think the easiest way is to contact Gutenberg.org with an errata report; here's instructions https://gutenberg.org/help/errata.html

It's early enough that I'll contact the PPer and WWer.

Greg

Checking against the scans, it looks like the only thing missing is the Project Gutenberg license at the end.

Ok, I thought that might be the case. It actually looks like that's an issue on several of the newly posted ones.

I thought I would take a shot at: - Equality by Edward Bellamy (http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/7303)

There’s no Magic Window, I think, in this section, so I don’t know if I need to “claim” this or just have at it. If there’s something I need to know, please shoot me a line.

Thanks, and wish me luck!

(I think I need to poke around and see what I need to do when reading an entire novel, in terms of breaking it into bits, etc.)

This is a book suggestion thread, not a project one, so you can't post projects here.

This book is long, so the only way you can do it is as a solo. Start by reading this page to find out how to proceed. There are links off to other pages with information as well. Read them all.

It looks like the chapters are short (2,000-5,000 words or so), so you can probably just split it into chapters (though I only looked at about half a dozen chapters). You generally don't want to have more than about 8,000 words in each chapter (I prefer sections that are 4-5,000 words or less).

As a soloist, you are also in effect the book coordinator (BC). You have to plug all the relevant information into the project template generator, and copy and paste the results into a new topic in the New Projects Launch Pad. That creates a new project. Then you have to wait until an MC and a DPL volunteer to join you. Once you have an MC and a Magic Window, you have to plug in the chapter titles, etc., and then as you read, you'll have to put the file links for each uploaded file into that Magic Window for the DPL to access and listen.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

Cheers,
