The reading is fine and my comments are technical ones to comply with the LV standards around our recordings. In several places the gap is too long and needs reducing.
00:00 Initial gap should be between 0.5 and 1.0 seconds
00:28 Gap after the title is too long before the text starts
00:31 The poem's title is repeated—only needed once
04:13 Gap at the end of the poem through to the "end of section 11" text is too long
04:26 "read by Joseph Todd" is a duplicate of that at the beginning—it should be one place or the other, but not both
04:27 Gap too long—should be 5 seconds

Please modify and re-upload.

Hi Alani74 and welcome to Librivox!

I see you're still waiting for approval of your 1-minute test. You'll have to wait for feedback before beginning to record.

This is not an audition, but just to make sure your technical specifications are correct for Librivox. It would be a shame to record a section then have to redo it because some simple setting is incorrect.

Once you've had the test ok'd, head back here and claim your section. I'll tentatively set aside section 10, The Little Brown Thrushes for you, pending approval of your test. When you return, please read the first post of this thread carefully, as it contains all the instructions you'll need to submit your section.

Also, how would you like to be credited in our catalogue? What name? Most of us use our real names but it’s your choice. It could be your forum name or anything else. It might be what you say at the start of each reading: "read by ......" so people will be able to find your recordings. If you have a personal web site/blog, you'd like us to link to, please provide the url. Once you've provided this information, I can set up your catalogue page.
