Notes for Chapter 4:
31:01 Should be “ through the midst of this far-spreading garden… “. I heard “though” the midst of this “large”-spreading garden.
33:01 Should be “through the prism of enthusiasm” and again I heard “though.”
I was very much drawn in to this deep examination of Mlle. Sand. Can you imagine a future biographer teasing apart your motivations and flaying open your romances for all to read? Good gracious.

Chapter 5 has been uploaded and is now Ready for PL.
Thanks!
Christine
Thanks!

I've listened to most of chapter 5 except for most of the paragraph starting at "Simon, a tale dedicated to Madame d'Agoult..." (30:18-31:45). I skimmed it and saw the titles of several books mentioned there that I haven't read yet (not including Mauprat, of course ). Are there spoilers for any of them? If not, I'll go ahead and PL that minute and a half or so. If so, would it be possible for someone else to PL just that tiny bit?
I have just two notes on the rest of the chapter, which is nicely done, as always!:
- At 21:43, "for me as for my century," you say "for me as for my country"
- At 32:09, "not her incidental misfortunes," you say "not in her incidental misfortunes"

For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

It just tells the general theme of them and how they are connected.Scarbo wrote: ↑December 13th, 2022, 5:07 pm I've listened to most of chapter 5 except for most of the paragraph starting at "Simon, a tale dedicated to Madame d'Agoult..." Its like 2 or 3 sentences. Like what you would read on a fly leaf.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you don't prefer to do it.
Thanks,
Christine
I think I would prefer not to. I'm sorry to inconvenience you , but I think I'll need to step aside as DPL for this project in order to avoid spoilers.
