Hi NJInce. I'll sign you up for sections 7-9.
As these will be your first recordings for Librivox, please have a look at the Newbie Guide to Recording and also read carefully through all the notes in the first post of this thread if you haven't already done so.
Even if you are experienced with recording elsewhere, yes, please send in a short test recording to check that all the technical settings meet LibriVox requirements before recording a full chapter. Guidance for this can be found at the link below.
1-minute test
I'll also need to know by what name you would like to be listed in the catalog. This can be the same as your forum name, your real name or another pseudonym of your choice. If you have a personal website, that can be linked as well.
Thanks and welcome to Librivox. :)

Hi Nathan - All the speaking sounds good. 3 tech things for PL:NJInce wrote: ↑November 9th, 2021, 6:46 pm Hello! Here is my first crack at section 8.

--Please trim lead silence to between .5 and 1 second.
--There is a little click in about the last 1/10th second of end silence. As long as you have to pull the file up, you might as well snip that off.
--Note that you don't have to add "_mp3" to your file name. Saving it as an .mp3 automatically adds the ".mp3" extension. So the file name you enter will end in "_128kb."
Thanks, and welcome to LibriVox I'll be up for awhile, so if you're around to do the edits, we can get you taken care of this evening!
