Karasaki in Siga has good luck.
It has nothing anxious for.
It has been waited and waited for
The mandarins' ships that never come back.

Even though the big bay in Siga is still and stale,
Their ships never come back in.
Their ships never sail.
I wish the good old people were here again.

Was I an old mandarin at that time?
Did I reincarnate into this time?
Why am I sad
In front of the ruined palace by the shores, once we had?

Here, rippling land, was a Tenno.
The Tenno lost his sound mind.
His people said to him, "No."
I'm sad his ruined capital I find.

Here, on the shores, passers tie up their elegies on the pine branches,
Hoping they wouldn't die on their journeies.
Who did begin the customary act in the past?
How long does this last?

I get here on my feet.
This Mount Se is the border.
Soon we can meet.
Your country is there, my dear.

The Mikado rules under the sky.
The Mikado rules here on earth.
Her majesty rules very many countries,
Her majesty likes that at best:
The land between clean streams,
The land that holds Mt. Yoshino.
Akizuno Fields fills with blossoms;
Her majesty set up the thick pillar imperial villa.
Mandarin's boats go in a line on mornings.
Mandarin's boats come in a race on evenings.
The river shall be everlasting.
The mount grows higher for good.
The capital, that has quick falls,
Never fills eyes forever.

The more I see, the more that captures me.
The moss on Yoshino riverbed has beauty and splendor.
The moss is always staying here, maybe.
Again and again, I will come back here to wonder.

Her majesty rules the realm all over.
"Being a goddess, I want to follow the way."
On the bank of the sounding Yoshino River,
Her majesty built the high palace
With the high watchtower.
From the top, her majesty inspects the world;
The infinite mountains offer their harvests,
Dressing flowers in springs,
Dressing red leaves in autumns;
The river god is also eager to serve her table,
Cormorant fishing at the upstream,
Fish nets at the downstream;
The mountain god and the river god are
Racing in a race to serve her majesty.
What a good times it is!

The goddess for whom the mountains serve to and give.
The goddess for whom the rivers serve to and give.
And the goddess loves
Having her boats push off to the rough waves.

Now, the virgins would be at Agonoura bay.
They would be going to float boats and play.
At the shore, they would lift a clothes' bottom higher.
And the tide would be getting higher.

Now the Toushi Island would be
Full of Mikado's young court ladies.
Now high mandarins would be
Mowing the seaweed for the ladies.

On a tide, on waves sounding,
A ship would be the fringe of an island off Irago Cape.
Are you on the ship, my darling?
Be aware, any rock would be in a white drape.

My hasband is where?
Where are you travelling?
Today, you maybe be going over the mountain in Nabari, a half of the pair.
I'm praying.

I can't see my wife afar.
Isn't that because Mt. Izami is mortally high?
I can't see Yamato, why?
Isn't that because Yamato is very far?
