Good. :D
Today I have been recording more both from this project and from the other project which Elli and I share, and I hope it won't take to long to edit them, so there is something to look forward to now.

Oh Dear!
I have never had so much trouble editing a file before. It seems I have had some serious technical problems while recording a number of chapters, which I haven't noticed until afterwards. They seem to have come from the Microphone which has played tricks on me with strange noises, drop-outs and what not. So I have had to redo parts of the recording and try to make it as good as possible. So, anyway, here is chapter 9 now:

https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/littlecolonelmaid_09_johnston_128kb.mp3

Time: 29:25

I hope and think I have found what was the problems with the MIC, so that it will be easier, and faster (I hope) with the next chapters.
If there are any problems, or you want me to adjust anything, Elli, just let me know please. It is such a nice chapter this, in many ways.

Yes it was a terrible nuisance, and a bit of a shock, to find that the "Mike" had "gone wild", as I recorded a number of chapters or sections in "our" projects in a row, and the others were more and more terrible, - strange noises, drop outs, the sound going up and down for no reasons or just disappearing - so I have had to rerecord them. But now I think I'm back on track again.
(Keeping my fingers crossed.)

Argh! I'm so sorry you have to re-record all those chapters. :(

Hi Lars,

It has been a while. Are you still planning on working on this?

I hope everything is okay with you!

Good to hear from you Maria,
.
Yes I am in fact in the middle of editing the next chapter, and I think it can be uploaded in a day or two.
It has been a bit strange year this year for me, as i have gone through several tests at the hospital this year after I was taken ill at the end of last year and rushed to our University hospital. Lung embolism they called it
I who have never been really sick or ill, except for a cold now and then, in all my life was very, very, very near to die, according to the doctors, but I pulled through, and everyone at the hospital was fantastic. I was really very impressed and grateful, and lately the specialist doctor has said that there are no problems anymore now, so I am back to normal in fact.
But i have also had some strange computerproblems this year. A hard disc broke down. My old Internet-connection got worse and worse, so I have now got Fiber into the the house, got a new Internetprovider with a very, very fast connection. But when I was installing new e-mailadresses something almost unbelievable happened, without me doing anything particular. A lot of files got corrupted, I have no idea how they could. So I have had quite a job to reconstruct files and even rerecord things. But finally it seems that everything is working as it should now.
So i'll certainly be back again now.

Hi Lars,

Good to hear from you! When it rains it pours, doesn't it?

I am very glad to hear that you are safely over your health scare and in good health now!
So sorry about your computer problems. I know how frustrating it is to lose recordings accidentally! I've done it before myself -- not in the way you did, but it is upsetting any way that it may happen!

All the best,
Maria

Hi,
now I am finally back on track again, so here is chapter 10.

https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/littlecolonelmaid_10_johnston_128kb.mp3

Time: 26;40
--

And yes Maria. when it rains it pours. In Sweden we have a saying, that goes something like this: "An unhappy thing never comes alone".
But let us hope that one may be able to say the same thing about happy things too.

Now on toi the next chapter.
