Thanks Jessie. Yep, Hoyt is a grade A creep, definitely not an ideal fiancé - even by the liberal standards of the early 20th Century :)

Anyway, here's Chapter 20, Fleming Stone. Duration 19.11

Hopefully this one is ok,

This is PL OK, sounds good! One note (and it doesn't need to be changed on this recording, just for the future) when you say the "end of chapter" we include the number, so "End of chapter 12". Not a big deal though.
Many thanks, I'll make sure I do that in future recordings

We had a disk failure yesterday, and all data was lost. If you posted a file, or made a claim, or amended the MW, please do so again. Everything was restored from backup from November 14.

Thanks, Lynne. Fortunately, all was quiet on this project yesterday (I would have gotten an email if there were any posts and the last activity here was on November 8).

Cheers,
Winnifred

Hi NC1713, and welcome to Librivox!

Before I assign you a section, please make and submit a 1-minute test recording (1-minute test info) to make sure your recording set up is ok. Post your test in the Forum appropriately named Post Your 1-Minute Test Recording Here and an experienced LVer will review it and provide feedback (and/or approve it).

This isn’t an audition, but just to make sure your technical specifications match those required by Librivox. (If you use Audacity, see How-to for Audacity users (3.4.2 through 3.5.1): settings with screenshots for information about those specs.) It would be a shame to record a section then have to redo it because some basic setting is incorrect.

Once your test is approved, head back here and claim your section. I'll tentatively reserve section 15 for you until the end of December, pending that approval. When you return, please read the top of this thread carefully, as it contains all the instructions you'll need to submit your section.

I look forward to your first foray into reading for Librivox!

Cheers,
Winnifred
