Sections 37 and 38 are PL OK :birthday:

"Seldom during the early middle ages was an imperial or papal election altogether free from riot and bloodshed...A trivial dispute over an oxhide converted a brilliant and festive scene into a tumultuous street-fight between the Romans and the foreigners."

"...it amounted *ONLY* to some indecisive fighting, the storming of a few strongholds, the devastation of the surrounding country."

May I request sections #46 & 47? I have the raw audio for section #45 recorded and am in the process of editing it. I should have this finished in the next few days. Having come almost halfway I would like to finish out the Vikings if possible.

Sorry, I hadn't noticed the deadline was 1 month. Here's section 73 (22:14):

I'll return 74 an 75 to the pool.

You pointed out an issue I have with the author. He's such a fan of Henry that he excuses the constant warfare required to hold the empire together. And how did the street fighting in Rome justify devastating the surrounding countryside? I wonder how a less biased historian would have handled this.
