Section 41 is PL ok.
I would normally take you up on that offer, but my wife is departing this weekend with the laptop I use for recording, and will be gone all week. If they are still available as of March 3, I'll be glad to do them. Thanks for thinking of me. Tedvviera wrote: ↑February 23rd, 2024, 3:30 pmThanks, Ted. And yes, it always takes a few tries! I've been recording about 2.5 years, and I know for myself I still have to do many, many retakes during a recording section. I trip over my tongue, or realize after I've read a phrase or sentence that I haven't emphasized it in the right way or read it in the right rhythm for it to make most sense.
The key is definitely in the editing, and that's why we say it can take 5 times as long to edit as to record. After I'm done editing, I am fairly confident I have a recording that sounds like it's been done in one take. It's definitely gotten easier over time, so hang in there!
Waiting for a clever signature line to occur to me.

Section 36 Excellent job. Very enjoyable listening.
0:09 missing part of intro just after "read by rustypistols" please add "All Librivox recordings are in the public domain" just before "For more information...
at 0:16 missing last part of intro ""Library Essays; Papers Related to the Work of Public Libraries, by Arthur Elmore Bostwick. Luck in the Library Part 1"
19:05 missing outro "End of Section 36" ,please add but make sure to keep 5 seconds silence after that.
Best,
Christine

Cleaned up and redid the introduction, outro and added the well needed silence part.
