"The Undefeated" (1925 version) by Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961)

I was very happy to find this version. It was published in America in a collection of best short stories in 1926, but was originally published in Europe is 1925.

The 1927 version is the standard one published now and that's fine. It contains only slight changes and is likely what Hemingway preferred.
