Note: The repeat at 6:19 & 6:20 is in the text, so I tried to make it sound natural: (something like "an' who... an' who lang ye had lo'ed him")

Uffda! My head is spinning with false starts of Broad Saxon after that editing... Had to cut out more than half my initial recording for this chapter full of dialogue!

Well done, Hannah! Chapter 10 is definitely PL ok.

In chapter 11, I heard something that didn't quite seem to fit, and when I did some checking, I realized that the Gutenberg text doesn't match the scans I was able to find. It's at 2:35. "Whatever micht want in at her door, there's naething inside to baud it oot." This is what I hear, and what the PG text says. But it felt like a typo to me, and sure enough, I found some scans that read "Whatever micht want in at her door, there's naething inside to haud it oot." I'll leave it up to you to say whether you think it's worth changing.

Aha! I've been thinking there have been typos in the Gutenberg copy due to scanning... mixing similarly shaped letters. This proves it! So I'll feel free to correct this text when I notice.

I'll probably fix the "haud". Thanks!

Yes, it's not surprising that proof readers would not catch a discrepancy like that. I doubt I would have noticed it either if I wasn't already somewhat familiar with the Scots.

As a side note, I also thought I heard and saw a typo in the phrase "blawin' his harns oot." I thought surely that should be "brains," or some variation of that spelling. But the scan said "harns," and then I found this: https://www.dsl.ac.uk/entry/snd/harn_n1

EDIT: And look at this fabulous quotation I just found listed at that link above: "Their heads had aye mair hair than hairns." Delightful!
