Ack. I'm a huge dummy: uploaded my test last time, but then I failed to actually, y'know, link it to anyone.

That should do the trick, I think? Working on recording my chapter now.

Hi,

I'm Evan, and I'm one of the friends of Owen (Rahulapod). I would like to take section 3 for this project. Here is my test audio:

Thank you both for your tests. Excuse me for doing a joint response, but I have the same thing to say to both of you!
The tests were good, and count as a pass. Just one very minor thing. We are looking for a volume of 89dB, with a range of 87-91 being acceptable. Yours were 86.8 and 86.1 dB respectively, so just a tad too quiet. That's easily fixed if you are using Audacity, and here is a video by one of our admins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_z607awyLw
You can check your own volume by using a free program called Checker: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker
You are both so close, I'm not going to ask you to repeat your tests.

Evan, I can reserve section 3 for you but you will need to be added to the catalog. What name would you like to use? You can use your real name, forum name or pseudonym. We can also link to a website or blog.

I'll be using my real name for recording, so that works best.

Hello,

I am new to this, so hopefully I am doing everything correctly. I am another friend of Rahulapod, and I would like to record section 4. I have included the test audio bellow, though the same volume notes are likely to apply. For the catalog, let's use the name Jaiden. Thanks!

Thank you, Jaiden.
I have added you to the catalog and assigned you chapter 4.
You will be pleased to know you escaped the volume issue, coming in at exactly 87 dB 8-) It could certainly afford to be louder, but does not need to be. So it is a definite pass.
When you record for real, please cut your lead-in silence to .5-1 second (you had 3.5) - but that is nit-picking  .
So go ahead and have some fun.

Alright, unless I botched something, I believe that section 3 is complete.
