Another newish play that hasn't been mentioned yet is Alias Miss Sherlock: https://librivox.org/alias-miss-sherlock-by-arthur-lewis-tubbs/

Of course, you were Miss Sherlock herself, so maybe you already have it in mind. I really enjoyed it!

We also have two Father Browns: https://librivox.org/search?q=Father%20Brown&search_form=advanced

The brilliant detective you'd never suspect of being anything but a humble (and slightly clueless) Catholic priest.

Oh yes, the bumbling but super smart detective, another favourite trope!

Thank you!

In spanish I recently recorded " El crimen de Gramercy Park" (That affair next dolor) of Anna Katharine Green. There is a brutal murder and the detective is the unforgetable miss Amelia Butterworth, a kind of first Miss Marple. I think people enjoyed it a lot. I don't think this one has ever been featured.

In his time, Max Carrados was more popular than Sherlock Holmes.

Thank you!

AK Green is always worth a listen, and Lizzy Borden... *shudders*

I haven't heard of Max Carrados, I'll give it a listen, thanks!

Hi there and welcome to LV!
I hope you'll have a long and rewarding LibriVox career ahead of you!

One thing: We do not allow links to commercial pages anywhere on the forums. Could you please remove the link in your signature?

Thanks!

The staff has picked for this month, thank you for your many suggestions! Please have a look at this page for the current pickings. You can also check out our wiki page for a plain vanilla list that contains all the staff picks for this year plus the readers.

Did you know that every year in October, the Nobel Prize winners are announced? So, the theme for next month is:

Nobel Prize winners

While we can't have any of the latest winners, obviously, we should have plenty of names from the early 20th century in our catalog. Think fiction and nonfiction please!

Especially welcome are suggestions of poetry!
And, as always: All languages welcome!

Suggest away!
