Hi CalmDragon

File has been patched and re-uploaded. Now PL OK.

Thank you

Hello,
I had to take a quick look at this as it's my favourite play ever! I'd like to claim section twenty if the second scollar is female in this production.

All the best,
Sandra.

Hi Sandra

Dr Faustus is also one of my favourite plays: it covers so many issues in such a short space.

Second scholar is yours.

I wonder if you would also like to consider the short part of Ralph (Act 3 Scene 4). It's a fun role, and I'm sure that you could produce an appropriately rustic accent for it. Please let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for volunteeering.

Cheers

Hello Algy,
thanks for the scollar, I'll get reading ha ha ha!

The other part does sound fun but I don't quite know what you mean by a 'rustic accent'. Do you mean country farmer? Queen's English RP? Jessey Wallace? (I was kidding about that last one). If you could give me a tad more direction I'd be glad to take him on.

All the best,
Sandra.

Hello again

I assume that's a yes for Ralph, so I'll update the MW accordingly.

Please check the voice in the following link - that's the sort of accent I had in mind:

Enjoy! I look forward to hearing your interpretations.

Hi Algy :D

Here come Valdes (I used my normal accent, cannot fake a German one unfortunately, I hope it is OK.):

and the third friar (not perfect either, but hopefully the bad articulation will be covered by the other friars, else let me know):

Hi Nadine and thank you

Third Friar is excellent! In fact the Friar's Malediction may become the high point of the entire play. PL OK.

Hi Nadine

Accent is fine. Good reading. Just two small corrections required:
0:48 - in the line "If learned Faustus will be resolute" "learned" is pronounced as two separate syllables ie. "learn - (n)ed"

1:15 in the line "First I'll instruct thee in the rudiments" "rudiments" is pronounced "roo (as in kangaroo) - dee - ments" with the emphasis on the first syllable.

Otherwise excellent.

Cheers

Thanks, Algy!
It might be a while before I can correct, I am leaving on business in a couple of days.

Whenever you're ready - there's no rush. We still have a little way to go before it all comes together. Faustus is not quite ready for Hell yet.

Enjoy your business trip.

Hi again Algy,
even if you haven't had time to update the MW with duke of Vanholt yet, I promised to do the part, and here he is in all his (short) glory:

I've taken the last open role - the Knight - and recorded his short role here:
