Hi! Welcome here! Before you can claim a section, you need to get a 1 minute test approved. It is not an audition. It is just to make sure that your recording settings meet Librivox specifications. May I suggest you go here first viewforum.php?f=18 then post your one minute test and get approval (here's the link for that http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test) and THEN come back here and claim a section (I am sure there will be plenty still Open) giving me the catalogue name you would like, it can be anything.

My apologies, I've read up on the protocol for new volunteers since posting and am working to get my setup just right. As soon as I've gotten it down and my test approved, I'll be back if you still need someone. Thank you for taking the time to respond
