These should be named differently. From the first post:
Thanks, Todd
This is the way Archive.org, where all our files live, wants them named. For final files: ion_#_talfourd_128kb.mp3 where # is the act number. (e.g. ion_1_talfourd_128kb.mp3)
Thanks, Todd
Ooops! I'll fix them!
That will work better,
Thanks, Todd

I'm working on editing together Act I right now. As soon as we have Adrastus' lines, we'll be ready to go with this one.
Everyone has done an wonderful job with their interpretation of their roles. As far as my experiment to see if I could reproduce the sort of effect produced by productions in the 1840s and 1850s when actresses like Ellen Tree, Charlotte Cushman, and Anna Cora Mowatt played the role of Ion... I don't know. According to my research, in the case of this play, part of the reasoning behind casting a woman as Ion was to emphasis how young and vulnerable he was. It was supposed to make it easier to accept how close to the surface his emotions are and his heightened spirituality. I'm not sure that modern listeners automatically attribute all these qualities with the sound of a woman's voice...
