If you are still experiencing errors when uploading with the new uploader, report them in this thread. The following information will help us continue troubleshooting the uploader, so please include the following in your post.

Previously reported, just checked again and it's still the same:

Platform/Operating System: PC/Win8
Connection type/upload speed if available: high-speed modem (AT&T Uverse)
Browser/version: IE10
Number of files in upload: 1
File size of files with errors: 20.39 MB

1. "Add Files" must be double-clicked (different than Firefox). It does work when double-clicked.
2. "Start Upload" produces no results; file does not upload. No error report produced.

Platform/Operating System: PC/Win7
Browser/version: FF 24
Number of files in upload: 1
File size of files with errors: 15.90 MB

Minor issue - the file size is displayed as KB instead of MB.

Steps: Click 'add files', select file, select mc, click 'start upload'.

Yes the KB instead of MB is a known bug in the plugin we are using. Unfortunately, it's not something we can fix.

I can't log-in to the uploader page, I can't also log-in to the Workflow page. I believe both these pages are same. Also, as I found out, I don't have a Workflow password. I tried to get one from the workflow page, but I have failed to receive my mail. I have already tried thrice to get the password, but I did not get any e-mail. Can anyone send me the e-mail with password. I had similar problem of not receiving pasword change mail from librivox earlier, and some admin sent me the password directly, which worked. Probably doing same would solve my problem this time too. So, admins, please send me the wrokflow password maill. Thank you. I have checked the spam folder of my e-mail client, nothing there too.

Hi, I have not been reading for LibriVox for a while, so I seem to have forgotten everything I ever knew.

I did record a small test and tried to upload it, took a copy of the link, and then promptly lost it when I copied my new password.

The file was MP3, called Librivox test or something. If it is lost and gone forever, I can try to resend it.

I would love to read any odd chapters to help finish up project, or take on a new one. Being semi-retired, I have been enjoying LibriVox recordings immensely myself and would like to give something back!

Cheers,
Keneva

Did you upload it to the Tests folder? The last test uploaded into that folder is this one: http://uploads.librivox.org/tests/Librivox_test.mp3

If that is it, take the link and post it over in Listeners & Editors Wanted for feedback. Welcome back!

The uploader only accepts specific file types. What is the file extension of the file you are trying to upload? If you are recording in Audacity, did you export your file to mp3 format before trying to upload?

Platform/Operating System: OSX 10.7.5
Connection type/upload speed: wifi at 10mbps
Browser/version Safari 6.1
Number of files in upload: 1
File size of files with errors: about 24mb

The file name comes up blue at the bottom of the uploader page after uploading is finished and the file will play if I click there.

However, my DPL reports and I can confirm that if try to listen from the MW I get the following error message
The requested URL /share/uploads/jo/childrenoftheghetto_39_zangwill.mp3 was not found on this server.
I reloaded the file a couple of times with same result.
I compared the file name in the uploader to that in the MW -- the same.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The link is incorrect. The new uploader doesn't use a 'share' directory and the MC is full username, not just initials. So this link is the correct one:
http://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/childrenoftheghetto_39_zangwill.mp3

This happens if you're using the old link format from the old uploader and simply changing the section number. You need to copy the actual link given when the file uploads.

Hello Adrian san,

Let me explain in other words.

You need to use the following link to upload a file. Username & Password are also different.

http://librivox.org/login/uploader

These three files all appear to be on the new Uploader:
http://uploads.librivox.org/knotyouraveragejo/childrenoftheghetto_34_zangwill.mp3
http://uploads.librivox.org/knotyouraveragejo/childrenoftheghetto_37_zangwill.mp3 (uploaded 5 Oct)
http://uploads.librivox.org/knotyouraveragejo/childrenoftheghetto_39_zangwill.mp3

All the other files are on the old Uploader.

Section 37 is also on the old Uploader:
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/jo/childrenoftheghetto_37_zangwill.mp3 (uploaded on 6 Oct)

You will need to check which is the correct version and ensure that the right URL is in the Magic Window, or else the wrong version may get catalogued.

Make sure that in future you are uploading to:

http://librivox.org/login/uploader
Image

and copy (right-click and 'copy link location', on Mac control-click and something similar?) the URL from the Uploader into the Magic Window.

I am copying this post into the project thread, so that your MC is aware.
