Welcome to LibriVox On Lam
We recommend that new readers post a short test recording in the Listeners & Editors Wanted section of the forums. This is NOT an audition, but a way to check to make sure all your technical settings are correct, your volume loud enough, etc.
It would be a shame to have you record the section and find that some of the required specs are incorrect.

Hello! I think I jumped in a little far above my reading abilities with my section 13 - The Dominion of Canada. I've read it OK, but I think the amount of editing that I'd have to do is too much for me to get done before I go on a trip this fall. Can I turn my section back in please?

I see your test recording came out OK, just lower the volume a bit.LamLam wrote:Hi
I would like to read Section 62: The States of Australlia.
Please confirm.
Warmest regards,
On Lam
You should aim for your wave forms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:
You are in the MW for section Section 62: The States of Australia.
* Please let me know under what name would you like to appear in the LV catalog and if you have one, we can put your personal URL link on your catalog page too.

Chapter 2 PL notes:
0:54 - throat clearing, needs to be edited out
2:41 - "in winter, they have ... in round houses made of snow" Should be "they live in round houses". This is a problem with the Google Doc, and why I prefer to look at the original.
4:39 - throat clearing, needs to be edited out
4:59 - missed edit "like this"
7:39 - missed edits "there Indians"
10:09 - throat clearing
11:09 - "in the camps" needs to be edited out
14:36 - stumble over "of", easily edited
16:24 - missed edit "and two of these"
17:20 - missed edit "A-ards long" - this is another typo in the Google doc
19:20 - a yawn. Not sure if this can be edited out, but the line could be re-recorded.
Could benefit from some noise cleaning.
