Thank you all, people, for the tips and comments. Thanks for the subimission, Julia :)

@Cori
I don't quite get what you mean by "cliffhanger request" point. Could you elaborate?
Also, are you saying that it's actually better to give people a very short deadline? I thought it was the opposite, with us being all volunteers and stuff.

Oh, cliffhanger -- teaser, something mysterious, interesting, sneaky ... something to entice people to PM you to find out more. :mrgreen:

And deadlines, it depends, but sometimes it's easier to get a few contributions with a short deadline (because people were going to record that day anyway, so it's no problem to do a couple of extra minutes) rather than trying for lots of contributions with a long deadline (because people put it off, then forget about it.)
There's honestly no such thing as a stupid question -- but I'm afraid I can't rule out giving a stupid answer : : To Posterity and Beyond!

Yes, you're right. I'm definitely going to use some of those. In fact, now that I think of it, the forum is full of threads disussing some particular trick or routine. Still, I wouldn't like this to dominate the podcast - so come on and record something. Also, take a look at the "make the recording sound great" thread that Rapunzelina mentioned. Maybe it will give you some idea, like "but I do it differently, and it works :)"

Hi Piotrek

Good to see that we have another aspiring podcastmeister.

I will be making a short contribution, which should be uploaded in the next couple of days.

Cheers

Hello Piotrek,
I took the bait and recorded something for your podcast - is there anything I need to put in the metadata? I named my mp3 based on the one posted already - podcast_134_nib.mp3 is that ok?

I think the link to uploader in the first post has to be readjusted now. It gave an errormessage, and should be:

librivox.org/uploader

Good Luck with the Podcast.

Piotrek,

How firm is that deadline? I might be able to contribute a short piece but it may not be until very late Sept 20. Any chance for 9/21? You are six hours ahead of me. Anyway, I'll try to get it in ASAP. I think I'll concentrate on my practice of preparing my script.
