PL for Capulet

Act 3
1:29 “Held” mispronounced (we held him carelessly)
2.37 “I” mispronounced (which I may call the sea)
3:46 “Thither” mispronounced slightly (on a hurdle thither)
5:59 “Ne’er” mispronounced as “never” (I’ll ne’er acknowledge thee)

Act 4
1:15 “All” added (Friar / [All] our whole city)

Insufficient runout (1 sec)

Act 5
OK

Lovely reading!

PL for Nurse

Hi Arielle

Minor stuff...

1. Missing intros for each file: "Nurse - read by [your name]"

2. Volume rather high on both files: 93-94dB - just on the edge of LV limits (89dB +/- 2-4 dB)

Text - word perfect!

Lovely reading. Sent shivers down my spine when she finds Juliet "dead" - thank you!

John,
I'm not that bothered about the mispronunciations unless you wish to change them :) Also, the "all" is just one word, so again, I'll leave it up to you whether you want to change it or not :D

Hi Cat,
I can't go around mis-quoting Shakespeare - people will talk about me! :D So I have uploaded an edited act 4: (06:05)
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/al/romeoandjuliet_capulet_4.mp3

Re the pronunciation: if it is all the same with you, I will leave act 3 as is. Put that down to my usual accent. (My countrymen pronounce "held" as "haywd", so I doubt I can improve it much. Olivier I aint!)

Cheers - John

Can you let me know when they're posted please

Thanks, Chris.

Ignore my last post - as Todd pointed out, the files are available in this thread.

So I've PL'd them. Please find my comments below Denny:

Act 3

1:14 “Thou art” for “Art thou” (hence from Verona art though banished)
4:59 Thud (hitting mic?)
6:36 Beep in mid-speech

Act 4

Act 4 is rather quiet (86.4 dB vs target 89 dB)

1:00 “This time alone” for “The time alone”
04:50 “And” added
05:05 “Thou” for “You”

Act 5

0:00-2:20 Act 4 Scene 1 repeated
04:11 “Has for “Hath” (how long hath he been there?)
07:37 “She would” for “would she” (would she kill herself)

Thanks, Chris.

Here are the re-edited Friar's lines for Acts 3, 5 and 6:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/al/romeoandjuliet_Friar_3.mp3
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/al/romeoandjuliet_Friar_4.mp3
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/al/romeoandjuliet_Friar_5.mp3

I'm not sure how to increase the dB level for Act 4. If somebody knows how, please do! Thanks.

Thanks Denny

Only one minor outstanding now in Act 5 at 06:00 - "who" for "which" (But he which bore my letter, Friar John).
I'd say this was PL OK, but it's the BC's decision.

Thanks, Chris.
