I'll throw this in quick: I would suggest posting the link in the test forum, yes, because it might get a quicker response there.

Thanks for slotting me in for section 5.
I wanted to run a couple voices by our PL and BC and see what the opinion was. Being that it's told in a first-person manner and in what seems to be a wild west Texan sort of area, I thought I'd run the narrative in appropriate character voices - but I know the accent doesn't go over well with everyone.

That's the first of six pages for that section - it hasn't had any technical stuff done to it, it's just the raw recording, but I'd like to run the voices over an opinion before I record the rest of the story. I uploaded it to tests-tests, so as not to intrude on the MC's section.

Definitely ok by me! (Plus, we don't discriminate against accents here.)StevenB wrote:Thanks for slotting me in for section 5.

Thanks for Section 11, Sid. And here it is:

As this is my first recording, I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. I won't request any more readings until I find out whether this one meets LibriVox standards.
Thank you, everyone. I'm having a blast!

Thanks for the response.kathrinee wrote:

Much as I enjoy the character voice, the story is pretty much just him talking for 5 pages. There's not an end-quotation mark in sight for pages at a time. Discrimination or no, I want to make sure it's something people can listen to for awhile before going, "Oh come ON!"
Section 5, the Pimienta Pancakes, ready for PL.

Marked Bob's sections as completed. I know how that is; I like having my sections marked Complete, too.
