COMPLETE - Short Ghost Story Collection 003 - SW/tc

Here is "The Chromatic Ghosts of Thomas," first published in The Woman's Home Companion by Ellis Parker Butler in 1907. It combines both ghostly and comic elements ... I can't say more or it will spoil the story for you!

Butler was also the author of the short story "Pigs is Pigs," a classic of humorous fiction.

Aren't they great? Give it a listen or read; it's silly, ghostly and --- scientific (!?!).

There you can find some of the Nash/Gelett-like poems he composed for signing Pigs is Pigs:

I cannot draw a perfect pig
But what is that to me?
Imperfect pigs do just as well
Since Pigs is Pigs, you see.

Pigs is Pigs in China
And Pigs is Pigs in Cork
But Pigs Ain't Pigs in frying pans
Because there Pigs is Pork.

Got it, thanks. I'll have a quick listen this evening.

EDIT: That sounds fine. You could slow down a little, perhaps ... especially with ghost stories, to allow the atmosphere to develop!

Thank you; I agree. Sorry, I'm new. I have two more stories behind my belt since this one (which was only my second) and feel I could do better. If it's not up in the listener's thread yet, I wish to re-record, going for a more atmospheric reading.
