Collected Poems 1901-1918, Volumes 1 and 2 by Walter de la Mare (1873 - 1956) .
Lots of different poems collected by Walter de la Mare (Summary by francesb)
Volunteers outside the USA: Walter de la Mare died in 1956. The author's work is still protected by copyright in places, like Europe, where copyright is author's death plus 70 years, and Australia (author's death plus 70 years for authors who died after 1955).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/collected-poems-1901-1918-by-walter-de-la-mare/
  1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here
To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you'd like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
  2. New to recording?
Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
  3. Is there a deadline?
We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1 month of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after one month, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen.

PLEASE NOTE: As these are generally short poems, there will be a firm deadline of 1 month from the date a section is claimed.
  4. Where do I find the text?
Source text (please only read from this text!): Volume 1: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/12031
    Volume 2: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/12032
  5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)!
If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

    Title: ## - [Section title]
    Artist: Walter de la Mare
    Album: Collected Poems 1901-1918

Please ignore tags for Genre and Track Number - these will be filled in automatically at the cataloguing stage.

    • When your upload is complete, you will receive a link - please post it in this thread.
    • If this doesn't work, or you have questions, please check our How To Send Your Recording wiki page.

How many poems/sections/files are going to be in this project? Your MC will need to know that to set it up. :)
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew

Frances,

I can MC this for you, but as Tricia said, I need to know the number of sections before I can set up the MW. There are different approaches to setting sections for poetry. Some BCs group the poems so that the sections range from 10-15 minutes each. Some of these poems are so short that to read one poem per section could be tedious. The intro may end up being almost as long as the poem itself.

You have used the group template - do you intend to do this as a group or as a solo?

Also, did you realize that your source link is volume 2? Volume 1 is available here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/12031 No problem to read volume 2 if you want, but that info is on the Bibrec tab of the Gutenberg page and I wanted to make sure you noticed it.

Hey Frances,
The section titles need to start with a number. See my change to the first two and follow that format for the rest.
Thanks.

Frances,

I just tried to click through to one of the linked documents and it said that I needed to request access to see the document.

It would be better to make all the documents public (If you have them in one folder on Google docs, I think you can make the entire folder public, you don't need to do them one by one). That way people who are looking for a poem can see what's in a section before they claim.
