Elizabeth and AshleighJane,

Just to be clear, I modified the notes in the MW on Section 18 to indicate that the file I submitted still needed to be PL'd. The pl notes that are linked in the MW are to the prior reader's version of this chapter.

Section 17 spot checked and PL OK. The reader for Section 14 is still on board. That's me. I have it recorded and I'm working on edits. Sorry for the long hiatus.

You are PL OK.

Locals pronounce Tazewell county as Tazwell, the "az" sounding like the word as. (I grew up about 50 miles from there). Don't think it's a problem the way you have done it.

Corrected Section 18 PL Notes:

All of the corrections are fine except I still have an issue with the first one, at 5:53. The text reads: "$400,000,000 to $1,600,000,000."

I read that as "four hundred million to one point six billion dollars." The recording says "four hundred million to one point six million dollars."

I hope I'm not misreading the numbers, but I checked with my wife and she agreed with my reading, that the second number should be 1.6 billion.

You're right. What was I thinking? I read financial statements all the time at work! You would think that I could get the two numbers in the entire chapter translated into words correctly!

It may take a few days. I'm swamped at work and leaving town for the weekend on Friday. We'll see if I can find a few minutes before I go to rerecord.
