F#, right? (since it's key of G) .. also, standard tune would have an A following that G:

in generic scale notation:

(low) sol, fa, doh, re, mi-re-mi

OK, here is the piano part in the orchestra of the main theme:

Code: Select all

Top part / Melody: D C G A B A B
Bottom Part : G - C D - - -
So chords are pretty simple in the orchestra version:
G C D G (I IV V I)

The new guitar one I did is the same melody transposed up, but with a slightly more modern chord voicing:

Code: Select all

Melody: A G D E F# E F#
Chords: D G5 Asus4 D Dsus D

Thanks, it must have been the chords throwing me off. I guess I did have the melody notes right though they didn't sound right to me.

OK, as part of March Madness, I thought I would finish one more theme... by request from Hugh, here is a free jazz version (or as close as I get). I did it in a minor key, and had to modify the melody just a bit at the end, but hey, thats art ;-)
