Working on getting Buddy some credits! Be sure to give him lots of play time when this is wrapped up.rkilmer wrote:Phil,
However you want to do it is okay with us. Is there any possibility you could include Buddy our dog? He deserves some recognition because the time we spend recording takes away from his play time. He feels left out.

This is been so much fun and I can't wait to get into next project!
I just hope I don't have errors in chapters I have submitted.
Thank you Phil and DPL for your patience and help.

Is there anything wrong with Chapter 40? I just noticed it hasn't been put in MW yet and hope we they will get DPLed soon.
Sharon

I'm working on more now.
There is no file for Sec 28 in the MW. I've PM'd Phil about this.

You can call me JJ or JoJo: either is fine.

All sections PL-OK.
Great job, reading, y'all.
Let's wrap it up.
(That was the first Horatio Alger book for me. I had heard of 'em, but never read 'em.)

That is great Jo. I will start cataloging this book tonight and will probably finish Thursday. Wonderful job everyone; I've never had such a successful duet that was not planned that way.
Thanks to everyone from me too! Y really had
Fun doing this & decided to do solo. I never would have believed
I could do it. Working with such great people makes a
Lot of difference.
Good luck to all in their future projects!

Sharon and Richard. Please read the summary and offer suggestions on making it more appropriate. Spice it up. Obviously I had just read a tiny bit of the book when posting this project and so it may be downright misleading. Right now it is dull and bland and I want it to sparkle and grab the potential listener's interest. Buddy can make comments too of course. and Jo our DPL of course!
Phil,
Here is a summary from Pavilion Press. You may have to paraphrase it some to avoid possible copyright issues. We don't have permission to edit the the summary. Please do not mention us in the summary.
In order to pay his minister father's debts, young Grant postpones his college education to take a job as a Wall Street broker's clerk. Aka: Grant Thorton's Rapid Rise in New York. In the Atlantic Series. When Grant Thornton’s family owes a debt of some $260, Mrs. Thornton decides to sell her pearl necklace and bracelets. She sends Grant to New York City to sell the jewels to Mr. Clifton for $400. Grant makes a second trip to New York to see Mr. Henry Reynold, a stock broker. While living in Mr. Reynold's home, Grant is accused of stealing $1,000 in bonds. Willis, also an employee of Mr. Reynold, is eventually exposed as the thief and is fired. However he in turn abducts Mr. Reynold's son, Herbert, and taking him to Illinois.
Grant must travel to across the country to Illinois to rescue the boy.
