Yes, that must be the one!
which raises the next question: should the "concluding chapter" be placed after "chapter 36" and before the "epilogue"? if by "epilogue" we mean the section titled "Twenty-Four Years After" in the gutenberg book.

I think so. I'll fix the MW and the links.

Catchpenny - are you going to read the epilogue, "24 Years After", or are you done? :)
If you're thoroughly sick of this project, I'd be willing to edit the last two chapters for you before cataloging.

Oh my gosh! I'm sorry I didn't see your post. No, I was waiting for a weekend free of homework. I'd really like to finish, but It might not get done entirely til Spring break.

I've edited these two. I've been digging around in my files and I found I've already recorded the epilogue. I'll do some tweeking, and then post it. After that I've got one more thing to do before the book is cataloged (I know you must hate me by now) and that is fix the long/lat to say seconds not feet and inches. Someone may be listening to this for directions, and I wouldn't want to thow them off.

I really, really, want to finish this, but I think I need to give it up. I'd still like to edit the times to say minutes instead of inches, but I do think I need to realize when I'm over my head and just humbly pass it on to someone else. Tricia, if I can find any files you want to edit them? and if not, can you read them? I'm very sorry to put this on you guys.

If you can find any files, I can edit them, yes. I would have to look at the text and see if I'd want to read the rest. I probably won't do any of that until next week. :)

I've patched together the minutes/feet edit on the following sections. They're not perfect (I had to use a "minutes" from a spot where there wasn't a clear beginning to the word, so it sounds a little choppy in the new spots), but they're better than "feet". :)

They're uploading via FTP now. Give them a good long while to fully upload.

Note: I didn't worry about ID tags; I'll pull them from the MW. By the way, where did you get the chapter titles? The Gutenberg text doesn't have them.

Sections: 7, 8, 9, 31, 36, 37, 38, 41

I'll assign myself the last two chapters and try to finish this off next week. :)

The 8 sections are fully uploaded. I marked them as "Spot PL Needed" in the MW. I don't think there's a need to check the "minute" edits; more to make sure they arrived safely, and any other PL notes that were noted for the sections.

Tricia, thanks so much! I hated to give it up, but like Ruth said, it's been more than the two years allotted in the title. You're ok reading the last bit then? I feel like I'm giving up a pet for adoption. (A child would be a bit much) Thank you for bearing with me.

Yes, I am fine with reading the last two sections. I'll feed your pet plenty of good kibble and give him lots of loving attention. :P

Thank you so much! I took Chemistry this quarter and haven't had time to do much of anything at all out side of study.
