Based on Kristin's recommendation I went out and purchased a Snowball for myself.

Works great and I'm very happy with the sound... plus it looks keen!

Doesn't it though. :D

One note for women on the snowball- I find I sound better on the omni setting (setting 3). If I lower my voice on setting one it sounds ok but if I speak higher not so much. My husband sounds great on setting one, so I'm thinking it does a bit better for lower voices.
