This one's a little bit crazy, isn't it? 15,000 ?? "Short" ? Feh!

Thank you Alex!

Well, short in the sense that each section is short... hehe =)

I've completed Section 075. As this is my first recording for librivox, I'd appreciate any feedback you can give. Although I'm working with very basic equipment right now, I do have considerable recording experience (On both the technical and talent sides.), so I can adjust my readings or my recordings to a better standard if you deem it necessary. Thanks very much.

I'd like to claim the rest of the available sections, 77-92, unless you'd like to have the workload more distributed. Thanks.

You sound great!

You're welcome to them Joe! You can even combine them into fewer files if that is more convenient for you... do what works best for you.

I'll post more of these as soon as I can.

Project Status Update

I've sent PMs to the following people (folks who have outstanding chapters claimed in Nov. 2006 or earlier)... for the ones I don't hear from by Feb. 10th I'll release the sections for other voices to claim. (Not punishment, as I understand about real life. I'm just trying to move things forward, so don't take it personally... there will always be plenty to record at LibriVox =)

EDIT: Deleted list on Feb. 13

Here is my recording of Section 23, found lurking unsubmitted on my hard drive since September:

I hope it's ok, let me know if there's anything I can do to improve it. Thanks.

Thank you Mochan! You have a nice clear voice... the only suggestion I have for you for future recordings is NOT to use Audacity's noise filter... it leaves a metallic aftertaste that is not any better than natural background noise =)

Don't even think twice about it on this recording though, as we're just using these as practice. =)

Yeah I see what you mean. I thought it would help, but next time I will definitely not use it. Thanks! :)

Feb. 10th has passed, and I've released some long-ago claimed sections.

Please don't take it personally if you were one of those folks... there are plenty of sections in this one to go around... feel free to claim another one when you have some spare time =)

I'm trying to get this portion nearer to completion before I post some new sections.

Thanks all for your understanding and hard work =)
