By the way, Caprisha, I think my voice might be a little too young-sounding for White, but I can take Wallace if you want. :)
Thank you so much!!

It may not be that loud. Not sure. This, I suppose, is inevitable with recording during this heat wave. I can re-record those sections though, if you want.

Here's Mabel from Suppressed Desires. I think there might be a little typo in one of her lines. The section reads:

MABEL: Wasn't he kind to her?
HENRIETTA: Why yes, good enough.
MABEL: Wasn't he kind to her?
HENRIETTA: Oh yes, kind to her.
MABEL: And she left her good kind husband!

It seems, given the construction of this exchange, that Mabel's first line should be "Wasn't he GOOD to her?" I've read it both ways so you can choose.

No, I think you're right--that is definitely a typo. I had a couple of typos in my lines as well.

Thanks for getting these done so quickly. I've recorded my lines too, but haven't edited them yet... and since everyone seems to have their lines finished, I guess this will be our first completed one act! Wow! That was fast! :)

Anyway, I'll PL everyone's dialogue this weekend... and then the editing begins.

Kristin, could you please add a link to this post from the first one? Thank you!

Here is a short pronunciation guide for "Abstraction", please have a look.

Japanese is quite straightforward to pronounce, the vowels sound like those in Spanish/Latin/German.

A - ah - like in father, car
E - eh - like in best, zest
I - ih - like in fin, win
O - oh - like in home, wrong
U - uh - like in you, fluke, blue. Very often however, it is pronounced as a shwa, or left out altogether.

Here is a list of Japanese words I have found in Abstraction:

Taraukuwazhiya (the name of the servant) - Tahrohkahjyah: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ava/abstraction_taraukuwazhiya.mp3
Hana (the name of the girlfriend, it means flower by the way) - Hahnah

The following below are only occuring once or so, so they are less important:
Nogami - Nohgahmih
Mino - Mihnoh
Kita-Shira-Kaha - Kihtah-Shihrah-Kah hah
Shintan - Shihntahn
Daruma - Dahr'mah
Tsukushi - Ts'k'sh

Japanese does not use stresses in words like western languages, so the stress indicated above is very mild (and may even be wrong, btw )

This is great, Availle. Can you also indicate which syllable gets the most stress? I know Masa says that Japanese does not use stress the same way romance languages do, but his pronunciation of Tarokajya (how he transliterated it) had a primary stress on the second (RO) and secondary stress on the fourth (ja). For example, Kita Shira Kaha I think might have the heavier stress on the first syllables of each word, yes? (I think I already asked you about this, actually, so sorry for being redundant!).

Thanks for the help! :D

I tried my best on the stresses Bob, but as I said (and Masa too), there is not too much stress used in Japanese. I think as long as you get the pronunciation of the vowels right, it will be fine, with or without stress
