I'm sure this has already come up (since I asked a couple of our admin people about it previously a few month ago) but is there any way that our catalog URL can automatically be the URL a user is taken to when he/she clicks on our name? I had a solo published yesterday and the link for my name is sending people to my blog. Of course, I don't mind the traffic, but I know that they're more than likely looking to see what else I've recorded for the LV catalog. (Either to hear more or to know what books to avoid. :P )

I do have my URL for my blog on my LV catalog page but I've noticed an awful lot of traffic to my blog from the LV Weekly Poetry readings (which I almost always record) and from my other recordings. If I happened to be a user who was not familiar with the best ways to search LV, I think this would be a little frustrating.

Any ideas? Anyone else not crazy about this?

Thanks! :)

You need not to supply the URL to your blog. If there is no URL it automaticaly links to your catalogue page.
I don't know much about blogs - but if you are always taken to the same place , you could post a link there to the search for you name.

If you want us to change your URL ask , it may not change all your finished recordings

Sorry I wasn't very clear - husband came home in the middle
If you do not provide your reader URL - you remember , the one you were asked about when you read your first section when they asked you what catalogue name you wanted :D , then clicking on your name in the catalogue will take you to the first link in your signature ,
But if you look at the top of that page you will see your url is set to your blog
Want it changed? It will not work for all your previous recordings but will for those 2010 and later.

Anne

If you can/want to post a link in your blog https://catalog.librivox.org/search_advanced.php?reader=lee+ann&action=Search should work

I'm pretty sure that this is one of the changes requested (and on the list) for when we get a web developer.
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

Thanks, Anne and Tricia! :)

I do remember now that Tricia mentioned this for future development. I'll just leave it as is since I have links to my LV readings on my blog.

Cheers!
