OK, so I've converted this to a group project.

Thanks to those who contributed to producing this audio version so far. The first several chapters sounded great, and I can't wait to hear the rest.

Best,
Steve

Just and update, I've recorded chapter 5, and working on editing it now. I should have it uploaded in the next week.

Finally got this done, please PL:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/cm/democracyandeducation_05_dewey.mp3

Think this is all correct, according to my id3 reader:

democracyandeducation_05_dewey.mp3 [ 36.63 MB ]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time: 40:06 MPEG1, Layer III [ 128 kb/s @ 44100 Hz - Mono ]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ID3 v2.4:
title: 05 - Preparation, Unfolding, and Formal Discipline artist: John Dewey
album: Democracy and Education: An Introduction to the Philosophy of Educaton year: None
track:

Cruched for time, but willing to take on chapter 6... will probably take me 2 months. I'll see how I go, but might have to go back to just PLing.

A few others have signed up, can we get those chapters assigned in the magic window Carl? Thanks!

Thanks Floyd. It looks to me like the ID tags are OK. But don't worry, if there are any problems they can be fixed during cataloguing.

I have signed you up for section 6. How long is section 5?

I would do Chapter 8, Aims of Education if I could get it in an easier format, with double spacing and margins. You mentioned something about Google Docs. I would be interested in receiving Chapter 8 through that kind of thing. You would need to tell me how to navigate it, find it.

P.S. i went to Antioch College where Dewey was well appreciated. I think some of the responders thought this Dewey was the Dewey decimal Dewey. NOT SO.
