As a Type 1 diabetic myself, it's a bit scary to remember that the discovery of insulin took place less than 100 years ago, and had I been born before that I would have been out of luck. I don't think I have the stomach to read this myself (especially the part which talks about a 3 year old girl going into a coma and dying ) but it might be of interest to someone who likes vintage medical stuff.

Now, this IS interesting. I'm a type 2 diabetic and actually, just recently, there was something in the news about a starvation diet for reversing type 2. I'll have to take a look at your link.
