Pam/Rapunzelina, thanks for your great work on this - yet again!

Pam, Section 19 does not contain a table, the table is for observation 7 in Section 20... However, here are the first two lines of said table, as I'm pretty sure you're going to read a bit further

Angle of Inc. on the Air. Angle of Refr. into the Air. Diam of the Ring. Thickness of the Air.
Deg. Min. Deg. Min.
00 00 00 00 10 10
06 26 10 00 10-1/13 10-2/13

Please read it like this:

Angle of Incidence on the Air zero degrees, zero minutes. Angle of Refraction into the Air zero degrees, zero minutes. Diameter of the ring 10 Parts, Thickness of the Air, 10 Parts (*).
Angle of Indicence on the Air 6 degrees 26 minutes. Angle of Refraction into the Air 10 degrees, zero minutes. Diameter of the ring 10 -1/13th parts. Thickness of the air 10-2/13 parts.
Angle of Incidence.....
Meaning, for every row please repeat the column headers at the appropriate place so that we know where we are when listening. Do this for every table you come across.

(*) The parts come from directly below the table, where he says: In the third Column the Diameter of any colour'd Ring at those Obliquities is expressed in Parts,... Although it is not mentioned in table proper, I think it should be added to make it a bit clearer to the listener (10 WHAT???)
Cheers, Ava.

Gotcha - I had copied a 'big' section from the beginning of section 19 and obviously included some 20 within it, assuming the table was in 19. I will get it broken down when ready to record. That is, IF I record - just joking. I'm sure I'll continue at least for a while yet. I thought for sure I'd need a break before this from all this dry stuff. I'm finding out I'm probably better at this kind of reading instead of stories requiring different character voices. Not so good at changing my voice for those, although I find I can do sarcasm within stories pretty good. Maybe that says something about myself - so easy to be sarcastic! And it is fun to read (without voice) a good funny story.

I'd offered to do another short piece on another project while waiting for your response, but I'll be right back here after.

:hmm:

I probably should not tell you this...

...but there's no need for character voices if you don't like to do them. There are plenty of listeners out there who prefer a "straight" reading of novels and short stories.

Hi Andrew, and welcome to Librivox!

I have given Section 25 to you, enjoy! The finished recording will be about 20 minutes long.

This is a quite ambitious first reading, because of the topic and because I'd like this reading to be word-perfect, so no deviations from the text are allowed in your recording. The first post gives you all the info you'll need wrt intro/outro/filenames/uploading...

I have seen that your test has been approved, but one little thing still before you start: Please let me know under what name you'd like to appear in our catalog. This can be your forumname, your real name... whatever you choose. We can also link to a webpage/blog if you like. Your personal librivox page - to keep track of all your sections - is here: http://librivox.org/newcatalog/people_public.php?peopleid=7065

Enjoy your time here! :D

Howdy!

I'm sorry but can you please replace Section 18 with this new one? When copying the text of 19 over my section 18 text, I saw that I had forgotten to put in the author's name at start of reading  (All previous are AOK) Thanks so much.

Pam, can you please check if you really read the whole thing? It says in the MW: Book II Part I - Observations 7 - 16 with about 2500 words, and 8 minutes for this is... very short (it should be at least twice as much, not counting the table which will take extra time). Maybe you mean 18 minutes?

Thanks!
Cheers, Ava.

Yes, I'm sorry - I should have said 18:07 instead of 8:07. I have edited the original msg above - thank you!
