The error was deliberate? I don't understand :?

Anyway, the PL notes so far:

Section 01: Reading OK, recording needs noise cleaning and 5 secs of silence in the end, file needs ID3 tags, file name incorrect. Duration: 28:59

Section 02: PL - OK
Section 03: PL - OK
Section 04: PL - OK, prolonged silence in the end (8 sec instead of 5)
Section 05: PL - OK
Section 06: PL - OK
Section 07: PL - OK
Section 08: PL - OK
Section 09: PL - OK, 01:51 prolonged silence gap (~5 sec) that sounds awkward to me
Section 10: PL - OK
Section 11: PL - OK

Section 13:
05:33 stumble "as his-his sponsor"
08:10 "name blacked-out" missing

Section 14: PL - OK, prolonged silence in the end (8 sec instead of 5)
Section 15: PL - OK
Section 16: PL - OK

Section 17: (In this section the reader chose to leave a reasonable silence gap to indicate "end footnote" but in my opinion, it would be better if the actual words "end of footnote" were pronounced. What do you think?)
03:23 "End of footnote" missing
03:51 "End of footnote" missing
04:29 "End of footnote" missing
05:12 "End of footnote" missing
06:08 "End of footnote" missing
08:27 "close quote" missing
08:41 "End of footnote" missing
09:24 "End of footnote" missing
09:47 "End of footnote" missing
10:17 "End of footnote" missing
10:45 "End of footnote" missing
11:07 "End of footnote" missing
11:36 "End of footnote" missing
12:17 "End of footnote" missing
13:43 "End of footnote" missing
14:22 "End of footnote" missing
14:30 "End of footnote" missing
15:29 "End of footnote" missing
16:22 "End of footnote" missing
16:45 "End of footnote" missing
16:59 "End of footnote" missing
17:35 stumble "wo-word blacked out"
17:40 "End of footnote" missing
17:48 "End of footnote" missing
18:12 "End of footnote" missing
18:14-18:30 repeat of the intro

Section 18: PL - OK

Section 19:
00:20 repeat of "4"
15:59 a "click" that can be removed.
24:43 repeat of "recording by Katie Riley" *

* Katie Riley (SunshineInMySoul) adds the "recording by" part in the outro instead of the intro, but I guess it makes no difference. It is OK, isn't it?

I have also noticed inconsistencies in some files' "Album" tags, but I suppose this can be corrected during cataloging, right?

Also, since all corrections can be made by editing (cuts, copy-pastes, etc) I could also take care of that, if the readers are busy or absent :)

Thanks Rapunzelina.

You're right that some of the things you've picked up are very minor. I usually leave it up to the readers whether they want to correct those types of things or not.

BTW - The error wasn't really deliberate, I was only pretending.

Cheers,
Carl.

rest of the PL notes:

Section 12: PL - OK

Section 20: PL - OK

Section 21: PL - OK, personally I would prefer "End footnote" being added in the following instances: 00:48, 01:54, 02:32, 03:11, 03:55, 04:25, 06:25, 06:49, 07:30, 07:50, 08:20, 08:41, 09:33, 09:56, 11:20, 11:57, 12:19, 13:00, 13:39, 14:06, 14:45, 15:08, 15:29, 16:00, 16:34, 17:02, 18:20, 18:35, 19:08, 19:49, 20:14, 20:45, 22:05, 22:33, 23:01, 23:34, 23:54, 25:21
also at 25:23 there is repetition of intro

Section 22: PL - OK,
it ends "End of Section 22", does it need "End of The Report of the Inquiry into the Role and Oversight of Private Security Contractors in Afghanistan." or something like that?

and some inconsistencies in file tags can be taken care of during cataloging, right?

If you need me for editing, let me know :)

I've pm'd the readers to let them know you have made notes. If there are any easy fixes that you want to do the editing for, please feel free.

Thanks,
Carl.

Good point, Rapunzelina. I should've been aware that my chapter was actually the end of the entire reading and refer to it as such. I'll redo it asap.

Nice to see this report finishing up. My two sections have been corrected and re-uploaded. Sorry it took me so long. I haven't got as much time for Librivoxing as I used to. I've done all of my previous projects with the "recording by" section at the end. I didn't expect there to be any problem putting it there. but if it needs to be changed for this project I will.

This was catalogued on Jan. 27. Why are people still posting corrections? :?
