2 Chronicles of The Bible, King James Version.

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/2-chronicles-king-james-version-2/
Probably written by the prophet Ezra, 2 Chronicles covers the period from the beginning of King Solomon's reign to the conclusion of the Babylonian exile. Like 1 Chronicles, it focuses on the correct way to worship God. (Introduction by Joy Chan)
  • Target completion date: June 2011
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/8014
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): Word Perfect

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project will be opened up to a group project as soon as a Book Coordinator can be found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to have it re-instated).

      "Recording by [your name]"
    • Say:

For the second and all subsequent sections, you may optionally use the shortened form of this intro disclaimer:

    • At the end of the book, say (in addition):
      "End of 2 Chronicles."

There should be 5 seconds silence at the end of the recording, or 10 seconds for files longer than 30 minutes.

Wow! Your voice takes me back to old times....your recording of 'The Holy War' by John Bunyan was actually the first LibriVox recording I ever listened to! :9:

Sorry, I forgot to post a message that I had uploaded the first chapter, but I guess you found it anyway! I was planning on recording another chapter and then posting them both, but then I was assailed by the roar of engines from drag racing outside my apartment and totally forgot about it  Now it's raining, so again, it's too noisy to record. I love my home, but sometimes it feels like there's such a tiny window of opportunity when it's quiet for any length of time :) Anyway, I'm glad you listened to The Holy War. My friends won't listen to my recordings, and keep asking me why I record such "boring" stuff. I just look at how many people have downloaded the files, and I'm encouraged that not everyone feels that way :D

For Section 6

Thadine - how are you doing? We haven't heard from you on this project in 2 months (and the last you posted in the forums was 1 month ago). Are you OK? :)

Hi,

I went to Joy's website, and she posted on July 30th that her mic had died on her, and that the new audio equipment she ordered wasn't working like she hoped it would, so she's still trying to tinker with it to get it to work.
