Hi all,

I have done some updates.

Chapter 0: PL corrections and pronunciation corrections done. I have uploaded a new version with an ID tag comment of version 2.
Chapter 1: pronunciation corrections done. Version 2 uploaded.
Chapter 2: pronunciation corrections done. Version 2 uploaded.

One problem I noticed is that I pronounced Bâle and Bayreuth incorrectly and they occur several times throughout the book. If anyone spots any wrong instances, during the PL or otherwise, let me know. The correct pronunciations are:

http://www.sheerman-chase.org.uk/tscExtra/Bayreuth.mp3
http://www.sheerman-chase.org.uk/tscExtra/B%c3%a2le.mp3

I will continue with pronunciation corrections and I am waiting for more PL corrections.

Regards,

Tim

Hi again,

I have finished doing the pronunciation corrections, except for a few minor bits. I am trying to upload them but the server is being a bit erratic (I am sure it will be sorted if I wait a while). I will put "version 3" in the tag comment field in the latest versions. I am not doing any more work on this until I get some PL feedback.

Nullifidian, are you expecting to get around to this in the next few weeks?

Regards,

Tim

Thanks for explaining what's going on, Tim!

Maybe it'd be a good idea to PM the PLer, in case he's not following the thread for some reason.

I'm going to be leaving LibriVox, so I'm going to have to beg off being the DPL for the remainder of this project. Many apologies for being so unreliable, but at least I won't be coming back.

DPL removed.

Tim, do you wish me to announce for a new PLer or you will do that?

I'm going to be unable to regularly check this thread until after 24th July. I'll be back to hopefully wrap up this book!

Yes, the text is PD in the United States but not in many other places.

Hi! I've decided to come back to LibriVox, so if you'd still like me to be the DPL here, I'd be happy to undertake that role again. You can expect my notes on section 2 tomorrow (it's 10:30 p.m. on a Monday evening here now).

Nullifidian,

Your back! :) I think we can do this one section at a time (and this applies to anyone who wants to help). Just claim a chapter and you have 24 hours to do it (48 hours if we are generous.) After that time, it reverts back to unclaimed. Hopefully that is not too inconvenient for the listeners. I hope this will get the book done ASAP. I don't think we need a dedicated listener, as we don't have the complication of chapters becoming available one at a time.

I look forward to your corrections.

thx,

Tim

I made a start at proof listening to it myself. Done chapter 1 and working on chapter 2. The others are all free. Please claim them, before completing it within 24-48 hours.
