I recently listened to Mary Louise by L. Frank Baum, read by Sibella and I just wanted to say that I enjoyed it very much. I listened to it on an 8-hour car ride all alone and it was read so engagingly that I didn't get sleepy, which is a miracle! It was so clear and read with such meaning that I'd dare say it was one of the best Librivox recordings I've heard to date. I really appreciate your reading, Sibella, and I'm thankful I chose that book!

Dear Sibella,

You've given me a lovely afternoon's listening while I sewed on a quilt. I really enjoy Georgette Heyer's novels, and was pleased to be able to listen to one I had not previously heard. I wish all her novels were on audio, I enjoy them so much. I believe her "Reluctant Widow" is my all time favorite historical romance. I wish Emma Thompson would have starred in a movie version of it -- I'd love to see it as a movie.

Hi, Ruth! I am so glad this book has found a home in the hearts of so many people. I have to say recording it was totally a "God thing", and I just couldn't ignore that prompting! This book sat on my nightstand to be read over and over for many years, and it was a profound influence for me. I'm excited another homeschooling mom is being encouraged, as well! Thanks for your response! I'm sure it means a lot to my dear, patient, editor/husband who did all of the "hard stuff", and my gallant proof-listener, who gamely kept up with my grueling pace of work.

I just wanted to let Tabithat know how much I enjoy her readings. She is the only reader so far who has managed to read an entire book without making mistakes in pronunciation, and her voice is lovely in tone and easy to follow. I’ve really enjoyed The Princess Priscilla and I’m looking forward to listening to more of Tabithat’s readings.

I wish all the readers were this good! Unfortunately, most do not know how to pronounce all the words they read, and many do not know how to modulate their voices as well as Tabithat. For those reasons, I usually hesitate to download from librivox anymore. But as long as Tabithat is contributing, I certainly will continue downloading.

I have recently finished Robinson Crusoe which I enjoyed very much. I listen during my drive to and from school on my ipod. Often, as you know, several readers of varying voice quality are typically involved in a project. It was a real pleasure to enjoy the whole book under your narration, recorded, you said, in winter, 2006.

Because you completed the whole story yourself, it felt truly believable that your voice was that of "poor" Robinson Crusoe. I smiled when I thought of it, but the pauses, laughs, and other inflection of your voice made the story seem as true recollection of the adventures of the voice that I was hearing. Thank you for that. Though all efforts of the readers are appreciated, I have my favorites. You are in this class.

I find myself looking for other works that you have completed and wanted to take this time to say, with all my heart, thank you for taking time to share your talents.

ich möchte mich auf diesem Weg bei dir bedanken, für die vielen schönen Hörbücher, die du für librivox.org gelesen hast.
In meinen Ohren hast du die perfekte Vorlesestimme und triffst genau die Betonung, ohne übertrieben zu wirken. Auch die Auswahl der von dir gelesenen Bücher entspricht genau meinem Geschmack. Aufgefallen ist mir deine Stimme - glaub ich - zum ersten Mal in "Sammlung kurzer deutscher Prosa" und seitdem hab ich mir angewöhnt, wenn ich neue Hörbücher brauche, nach von dir gelesenen Büchern zu suchen. Als Märchenfreund haben mir die Märchen von Andersen und den Gebrüdern Grimm sehr gut gefallen oder auch "Peter Schlemihls wundersame Geschichte". Aber auch die "Briefe aus dem Gefängnis" von Rosa Luxemburg fand ich bewegend und sehr treffend vorgetragen.
Vielen Dank nochmals für all die wunderschön gelesenen Geschichten und Bücher!

work-related stuff. One of the results that came up was “The Book of
Dragons”.

The dragon stories are delightful, not least due to the language register
