LibriVox Multilingual Poetry Collection Volume 017

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/multilingual-poetry-collection-017/

This collection is for poetry in any language. Feel free to choose any poem which is in the public domain. If you're unsure what we mean by 'public domain', please read this explanation.

Each reader should not submit more than two poems in the same language (per volume). It's fine if we have several readers submitting poems in the same language. It's also fine if the same reader submits poems in more than one language. It's also OK to submit readings in English (English being a language, I figure), but as there are plenty of other places to put those, let's limit them to special cases such as interesting regional dialects or accents.

If you are interested to see what has been done previously, check the previous Multilingual Poetry Collections in our catalog (but we welcome multiple versions of the same poem).

Hello!
Can I read a poem by Lina Costenko "Розвиднилось траві..." in Ukrainian? Or a poem by Maximilian Voloshen "Сквозь сеть алмазную..." in Russian?

Hi!

We can only record works which have been published before 1923. Lina Kostenko was born in 1930, so her poems are definitely not in the public domain. The Maximilian Voloshin poem may be OK, although we have to make sure that his poem was published before 1923. In that case you can record it for LibriVox :)

Naturalmente, Tu edad no es un problema. Si necesitas más ayuda, scribe una PM (mensaje personal), a lo mejor a tux, qui es un espanol y uno de los administradores de librivox.

Hello dii,

Don't know if You speak spanish also, so I allowed myself to write some lines in spanish to help Claudia.
