Hallo,

I want to thank J. M. Smallheer for bringing a beautiful voice to the works of one of my favorite writers. Your dulcet tones lent a delightful aspect to what could have been a very dry essay.

Thanks!

Praise for MaryAnnSpiegel (MaryAnn) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Re: The Chestermarke Instinct, by J. S. Fletcher

Thank you for reading the book to us, Maryann!

My daughters and I enjoyed sitting round the dinner table each night listening to the story. It was captivating. You did a great job and you’ve a pleasant voice.

By the way, I toured Chicago almost eleven years go, while visiting my parents at their summer home in Sheffield. Enjoyed it very much. What a lively city!

Sincerely yours,

Julie Ann

Praise for Sue Anderson via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Dear Librivox,

I really enjoyed Sue Anderson’s reading of the books “The Story of a Common Soldier of Army Life in the Civil War 1861-1865” by Leander Stillwell and Monmouth, Sarah Elizabeth Harper. "Living on Half a Dime a Day". She does a great job! She reads with expression, a slow enough tempo and a nice volume that doesn’t vary greatly so I could understand every word.

Thanks again,

Maureen F.

Praise for Adrian (Adrian Praetzellis) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Kim by Rudyard Kipling

An exceptionally satisfying reading of this book. Makes an almost persuasive case that it should be taken seriously as a work of literature, as well as an entertainment.

Praise for all the readers of Leviathan via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
To the Readers of Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes-

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Having this audio recording has helped me so much recently. I am a college student and I found this recording of Leviathan which I am reading for a class and it has been such a great help to me to better understand Hobbes because the language of the day can be difficult to read in your head - having it read aloud to me makes it so much easier. I like to play the recordings while I sleep to further absorb the meaning (hopefully) and it's really a pleasant experience. Everyone who worked on this project has such smooth and calming voices, it is very easy to fall asleep to.

Thanks again for all your work, I know it must be somewhat difficult
to do this kind of stuff, and I really appreciate it!

Mark, I just finished listening to Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days. You did a marvelous job. Just enough difference in the voices to help the listener distinguish between characters, but not too much that it takes away from Jules Verne’s written word. Thank you for a very enjoyable listen (can “listen” be a noun?). I am now listening to The Mysterious Island. I don’t think I will be disappointed with this recording either.

Thank you for volunteering with Librivox and for a job well done.

Praise for gloriana (Elizabeth Klett) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Dear Mrs. Klett,

I enjoyed so much your recording of Emma, by Jane Austen! I loved how you read it, I was often astonished how easily I could hear who was talking, even though my concentration had been away for some seconds. How very well done even your modulation of male voices, without sounding unfeminine. Great work!

Thank you so very much!
