Well, there's a fine offer.
Featherheadfop is fair champing at the bit looking to read some more Candide.
Anyone willing to part with one of their sections?
PM me if so

Hey folks,

Sorry about the delay in getting back to the board - it doesn't look like I'll be able to get my chapters finished in the new future...the technology gremlins have conspired against me!

Really looking forward to hearing this when it's all finished - so I'd better return my claimed chapters to the pool...

Many thanks for letting us know.
It's much better that if you find yourself without enough time to throw the chapters back into the pool.
Same applies to anyone else.
If time is passing and you can't honestly see a gap into which you can crowbar a little recording then just chuck them back in the pool.
There'll be absolutely no problem getting someone else to record.
We seem to be approaching a stage in Librivox where we can almost get complacent about recruiting volunteers.

In this circumstance Featherheadfop was standing by waiting to grab and chapters which became available.

Featherheadfop
I've listened to 13 and 14 but not 15 yet.
They sound good but I'm only getting sound on one channel.
Any chance you can have a play about with the files for me and see if you can get sound out of both channels?
They might be OK in your editor but possibly you've only exported one of the tracks.
Check out the mp3 file and you'll see what I mean

Kind regards

Jim

[EDIT] 15 sounds ok

That's strange ... I had that problem with another file recently, too ... I'll have a look :\

Laura has asked me to look after this one for her while she peddles back a bit on co-ordinating so she can concentrate on reading.

Could everyone who has offered to read a chapter just post a quick note to let me know how things are coming along (I think it's just Dsayers and EdwardT, I've already chatted to laura.)

If anyone is feeling a little over-committed please let me know and I'll offer some of your chapters up for grabs.

Kind regards

Jim
I'll be on mine within a few days.

Does 13 have the problem as well? Looking at the Audacity Project Files, I see why 14 would only have one channel, but I'm not sure about 13 ...

My apologies.
It is only number 14 with this problem.
